The 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Alumni Association is delighted to welcome five accomplished and dedicated alumni to its Board of Directors. These new members bring a wealth of diverse experiences, professional expertise and a deep love for the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. Get to know them below!

James (Jeff) F. Agnew III '84 COP

A 1984 graduate of the College of the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, Jeff Agnew was an active student, involved in the Omega Phi Alpha fraternity, the College of the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½'s Communication Department, the Men's Golf Team, and the university's Forensics Team. After graduating with a B.A. in Pre-Law & Communications, he went on to earn an M.B.A. in International Business and Marketing from The American University.

Jeff has a diverse background in public outreach, communications, and government affairs. He recently co-founded Chapter2Advisors, LLC, a communications consulting firm, with his wife. Previously, he spent 21 years as a principal at Blakey & Agnew LLC, focusing on the transportation and freight industry. His career also includes work as a consultant to Pepper International Associates, an account executive with Rubenstein, Wolfson & Co., and a Special Assistant to two U.S. Secretaries of Labor during the Reagan administration. Jeff resides in Fairfax, VA, with his wife, Sarah, and has three sons.

Georgette Hunefeld '90 COP

Georgette Hunefeld, a proud Midwesterner, graduated from the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ in 1990 with a communication degree focused on healthcare public relations. Her journey to 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ was unique, following an initial career as a state park ranger in Lake Tahoe where she launched the Environmental Interpreter program at Sand Harbor.

Georgette's PR career spanned corporate, government and higher education sectors. She served as a regional marketing executive in healthcare and was the first Executive Director of the Mary Graham Scholarship Foundation, supporting foster youth in their college journeys. Georgette then dedicated 21 years to the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½'s fundraising team, engaging alumni and leaders in transformative capital projects and scholarships. She retired in 2024, cherishing decades of meaningful connections. A fun fact: Georgette comes from a proud 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Legacy family, with 24 alumni across the Hunefeld, Genetti, and Gotelli families. In retirement, she enjoys traveling, gardening, listening to her husband Chris Hunefeld ’74 play music, reading with her book club, hiking, beach days and sculling on the Delta with her black Lab, Loki.

Allison Jones '14 COP

Allison Jones, a 2014 graduate of the College of the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ with a B.A. in communication, is now a professor of Earth Science at Sierra College in Northern California. Allison's path to geology was a "windy road"; she discovered her passion for earth science during her senior year at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½. After working in software marketing, she pursued an education in geology, earning an AS in geology and later an MS in geoscience from UW-Madison in 2020.

Allison's unique background allows her to leverage her communication degree daily to tailor messages for her students, fellow faculty, and the community. She is passionate about innovative geoscience education and using technology to enhance student learning, recently leading a collaboration to produce an open educational resource textbook for California Geology courses.

Gerald (Gerry) Latasa '10 COP, '13 LAW

Gerry Latasa is a Senior Associate at Llarena, Murdock, Lopez & Azizad in Sacramento, where he specializes in workers' compensation litigation. He graduated from the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ in 2010 with a degree in Social Science, minoring in history, civic leadership, pre-law, and classical studies. During his undergraduate years, he served as president of Theta Chi Fraternity.

Gerry continued his education at 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ McGeorge School of Law, graduating in 2013. At McGeorge, he was president of the Lambda Law Students Association and served on the boards of the Student Bar Association and Phi Alpha Delta. He has been a dedicated member of the McGeorge Alumni Association Board of Directors since 2015, including a term as President during McGeorge's Centennial celebration in 2024. He also previously served on the board of SacLegal, Sacramento's LGBTQ+ Bar Association.

Bonnie Morehead '76 COP, '79 DEN

Dr. Bonnie Morehead is a proud alumna of the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, having earned her DDS from the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ School of Dentistry (now the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry) in 1979 after graduating from the College of 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ in 1976 with a biology major. During her time at College of 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, she was actively involved in intramural sports, homecoming, the student teacher program, and was a drum majorette. She is a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

At the dental school, Dr. Morehead was elected student body vice president and served on the dean selection committee that ultimately selected Arthur A. Dugoni as dean. Since graduating, she has served on the San Joaquin Dental Association Board of Directors, eventually becoming president, and has been on the Dugoni Alumni Association Board. She has also served as a Dental Board Examiner for the State of California. Both of Dr. Morehead’s children attended the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, and she remains active with the Dugoni School of Dentistry and the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Athletic Association.

We are thrilled to have these accomplished individuals join the 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½ Alumni Association Board of Directors  on July 1, and look forward to the contributions they will make to our alumni community.
