Print to Protect Coalition members deliver face shields to the Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

The Print to Protect Coalition (PTPC), which includes volunteers from the 91成人导航, is aiding an embattled Turlock nursing home during the pandemic.

Eighteen of the 26 pandemic-related deaths in Stanislaus County (as of May 21) were at the Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, officials said. The center has had 152 positive tests 鈥� 100 residents and 52 employees.

The PTPC, led by Manteca dentist and 91成人导航 alumnus Dr. Nabeel Cajee 鈥�11, 鈥�15, recently donated 300 face shields to the nursing home. Employees from 91成人导航鈥檚 School of Engineering and Computer Science and William Knox Holt Library and Learning Center also take part in the PTPC effort.

The coalition uses 3D printers and laser cutters to produce face shields and other personal protection equipment for front-line medical personnel.

Congressman Josh Harder, D-Turlock, was part of the contingent delivering the masks. 鈥淭hanks to everyone鈥檚 donation. Our seniors and front-line workers need them,鈥� Harder wrote on Twitter.

鈥淲e are grateful for the opportunity to serve and for our strong community partners who make sure each item we produce goes where it is needed,鈥� Cajee said.
