Flavio Araujo has more than 20 years of experience in live sound engineering, theatrical production, A/V systems and event management. At 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, he oversees all technical operations for the Conservatory’s concert halls, theaters and studios—managing audio, video and lighting infrastructure while mentoring students and supporting faculty and guest artists.

Araujo began his professional journey in São Paulo, Brazil, where he studied sound engineering and recording at the University of São Paulo, the Souza Lima Conservatory – Berklee, and in the IAV Audio and Video Institute, specializing in audio, acoustics as well as analog and digital recording. He later built his career in the United States at Wavaflow Studios, Los Angeles, where he served as studio manager and head engineer on more than 25 albums. He collaborated with artists such as Alice in Chains, Snoop Dogg, Slash, Sergio Mendes, Nas and many others. Since Wavaflow managed the legendary Mothership Studio (Steve Vai) at that time, Araujo gained experience in one of the most iconic analog studios in the world.

Additionally, Araujo has worked on soundtracks for film, video games and commercials. He also studied motion graphics and 3D animation at Video Symphony in Burbank, California, to complement this expertise.

Over the years, Araujo has taken on multiple leadership roles as production manager, stage manager, FOH and monitor engineer, and tour manager. His live production experience includes collaborations with organizations such as Beehive Touring in Los Angeles and projects at prestigious venues such as UCLA’s Royce Hall, One Colorado Pasadena and Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles.

Araujo’s portfolio features collaborations with internationally recognized artists such as Paul McCartney, Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lionel Richie, J.Lo, Pitbull, Cardi B, Drake, Ludacris, Neon Trees, Pete Yorn, J. Cole, Dave Navarro, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum, Alice in Chains, among many others. He has also collaborated with the Modesto Symphony Orchestra.

Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, Araujo is known for his commitment to mentoring and developing the next generation of professionals. At 91³ÉÈ˵¼º½, he combines artistic vision with technical precision, ensuring that every performance is supported by a world-class production.
